Here’s how to workaround the iOS error when promoted with “Unable to verify account information” when you try to connect your iPhone / iPad iOS device to Microsoft Small Business Server. This error occurred after an update to iOS 8.1.3.
- Add the account as normal and select “Exchange” as the account type.
- After seeing the error “Unable to verify account information”, click OK.
- You will then be given the option to “Save” on the top right corner.
- Press “Save” again when prompted.
- Select the items you want to Sync between Exchange and you iOS device. Hit “Save”
- Select your newly created account, then click the email address.
- Enter your servers name. i.e. mail.<your domain>.com
- Enter your internal domain name.
- Enter your username. This is generally different to your email address.
- Click “Done”. Emails should now start flowing in.
